Are Sunk Costs Holding Me Back?

Sunk Costs. The past is in the past.A “sunk cost” is what you already paid for something in the past. Seth Godin calls it “a gift from your past self.” You can accept it, or not.

I often hang onto things I own, even though I’m not currently using them, or worse, I wouldn’t buy the same today if given the chance.

For me, this includes websites, clothing, software, books, and how-to courses.

By ignoring the cost of something I own and asking if I would buy it today, I give myself the freedom to let it go. And move on.

Sunk costs are holding me back.
