Are you running from or to something?

This week, my son started CNA school, a step towards becoming a nurse. Despite his parents’ reservations, it was his choice.

Two days later (today), he quit, with no refund. Why?

It was much different than what he thought. The boundaries, regulations and privacy policies were overwhelming. He’s a people person, and the threat of having to keep quiet about what he does for a living was stifling.

“I’m OK if you quit,” I said. “But you can’t just run from it. You need to run to something.”

Are you running from or to something? It should be the latter.
