No, I can’t help.

What you don't do determines what you can do.Have you ever said that? It’s one of the hardest things I ever say.

Going through life with an overburdened schedule is unproductive and, frankly, unhealthy.

Saying “no” more often and asking for help are two remedies.

It’s hard to say “no” when we feel we are letting people down. Especially people we care about.

Here’s the problem: If we say “yes” to everyone, we are more likely to let them down than if we say “no.”

Why? Because an overburdened schedule cannot be sustained. Something eventually breaks.

Hopefully, it’s just a missed deadline or meeting . . . and not our health.
